IRRIGATION SURVEYS
Mainly surveys in rice fields to combine fields and eliminate or straighten levees and level field to a zero grade. Zero grade
means the elevation is the same though out the field. We survey and design fields and construction check after completed. NRCS will cost share on this practice.

DRAINAGE
LSWCD can do a variety of drainage surveys. Top surveys are taking elevations of the lay of the land, after printed it will show the contours to help show which direction the drainage should go. Precision land grading is sloping an agriculture field or pasture in 1 or 2 directions for more efficient drainage. Drainage ditch surveys are taking elevations in the ditch bottom to make sure it is sloped and has no blockages or silt bars.

CULVERT
LSWCD can size pipes in a field that drains into a main ditch or channel. If there is a need for a channel crossing or driveway culvert, we can direct you to the proper agency.

URBAN FARMING
